AMI Research Appoints Analyst Brian E. Wong As Director of Research
Key Largo, FL, August 08, 2008 -- AMI Research, a leading provider of issuer-paid research coverage and independent stock reports and a division of Hawk Associates, announced today the appointment of veteran Wall Street analyst Brian E. Wong as Director of Research.
In his new role with AMI Research, Wong will direct the production of AMI's high quality independent analyst research reports. These research reports provide institutional and self-directed small company investors with a comprehensive view of the business model and industry and intrinsic value and prospects for the company. The microcap research reports include a detailed valuation model, a recommendation [100 words] and a target share price range based on fundamental, bottom-up analysis. Wong will report to Hawk Associates CEO Frank Hawkins and President Julie Marshall.
Hawk Associates CEO Frank Hawkins said, "Brian Wong is one of the most respected young analysts on Wall Street. As AMI's Director of Research, he has the skills and experience to produce and further enhance what we believe are the highest quality issuer-paid analyst stock reports available. The highly credible and detailed information that AMI provides for investors is normally not available for small companies from any other source."
Hawk Associates President Julie Marshall said, "We have known Brian for a number of years and we have always respected his professionalism and expertise. He is not only highly analytical, but he is capable of providing the kinds of insights that investors find invaluable in stock reports."
Wong previously conducted sell-side equity research with Broadpoint Capital and First Albany Capital, where he was a member of the Wall Street Journal's Top Five Equity Analyst Team in 2002 and 2003. With a background in the medical technology and healthcare sector, Wong provided in-depth investment research reports on companies in the orthopedic, neurotechnology, diabetes, plastics, and general surgery sectors.
Wong's early career began at the University of Pennsylvania Medical School and later at the West Roxbury VA Medical Center and Brigham and Women's' Hospital Orthopedic Research Laboratory as a biomechanical engineer where he conducted research in biomechanics and orthopedics. After earning his B.S. from the University of Pennsylvania, Wong furthered his Post Baccalaureate studies at Harvard and obtained his Master's of Science and Master's of Engineering Management from Dartmouth College.
